The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed a high-level political and economic delegation to Turkmenistan to attend the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
According to ISNA, Ayatollah Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi this Saturday evening at the official invitation of the President of Turkmenistan “Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov” and accompanied by Ayatollah Mohammadi Golpayegani The Supreme Leader of the Revolution and Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president and a group of cabinet members, left Tehran for Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
The President attended the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), explained the positions and proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran in strengthening regional and international relations, especially the removal of obstacles and increasing the level of cooperation and economic exchanges of ECO member countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan are 10 members of the ECO.
The 15th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit will be hosted by Turkmenistan on Sunday, December 27th, and the country will chair ECO courses.
Extensive economic resources and capacities, especially in the mining, oil, gas and tourism sectors of the ECO member countries, have provided valuable capital to this important regional economic organization.
