I congratulate the “Statistics and Planning Day” to all those in charge of statistics and planning in the country who are working for the development and progress of dear Islamic Iran. The category of statistics in the Islamic Republic of Iran has a high, special and unique position, so that, according to the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, “statistics is the basis and backbone of economic, social and cultural planning” and the realization of the slogan of 1400 That is, “production, support, and barriers” will be achieved by monitoring accurate and up-to-date statistics.
In the current situation, official statistics in the country’s decision-making and planning system can serve as a beacon for the realization of “justice-oriented”, “revolutionary”, “democratic”, “purity and anti-corruption” and “rule of law” as key axes of the thirteenth government. It is able to help the government in recognizing the current situation, reviewing the process of change and making national and regional decisions to eliminate injustice and balanced development by identifying the level of poverty and deprivation, inequality and injustice among the provinces of the country.
